It's hard to believe 2021 is wrapping up! My main focus this year was my work as Interim Director of the Violin Program at Cornell University. Ithaca, NY was such a beautiful place to call "home" for a year! I spent many, many hours hiking in the gorges and getting into birding (the perfect pandemic activity), with travels for performances over the summer and through the fall. Wishing everyone a safe and healthy New Year. |

Happy New Year from Newnan, GA! Alan Richardson and I are here for a month at the Newnan ArtRez house. We're putting together some online/safely-distanced performances for the community, and using the time to continue the Online Interactive Performance residency we've developed for Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival and Integrated Arts Academy students in Burlington, VT. |
Dec 20, 2020 Just finished a whirlwind fall teaching as Visiting Artist at the Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam! For the fall semester, I took over a colleague's studio of 20 violinists and two courses. I absolutely loved working with the students, and it was also a stunning location to watch the seasonal change. |

VOTESart, the non-partisan organization I co-founded several years back, is in full swing this fall, using music to connect voter information with potential voters. All of our events and content are created safely online, including this series of videos that we created in partnership with Quodlibet and Five Boroughs Music Festival. You can view them on our VOTESart Facebook page here! |

We had such a wonderful time arranging and recording this beautiful Schubert song, "Sei mir gegrüsst." The text, drawn from a poem by Friedrich Rückert, is about transcending distance between loved ones, and it feels particularly relevant and meaningful in this time of isolation and social distancing. Cellist Alan Richardson and I are using the free time in our COVID-19-cleared schedules to record some of our favorite duos! This is the Gavotte from Glière's Huit Morceaux for violin and cello. We hope this sunny and joyful movement can be a breath of fresh air during this strange and stressful time. We'll be recording short videos each week - if you would like them to be sent directly to your inbox, you can subscribe here. Stay healthy and safe, and take care. |

I, like all performing musicians, have had my upcoming concerts canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. With my newly free schedule, I am expanding my online teaching studio as a social-distancing-appropriate way to stay connected within the musical community. If you are interested in having a lesson, or need practice help between lessons, please contact me through the contact form here! I work mainly with intermediate to advanced students, ages middle school through adult. You can find out more about my education and advocacy work on this page. Feel free to be in touch if you have any questions. Stay healthy, and take care! |

Mika Sasaki and I have started a duo! We loved playing together during our time in Ensemble Connect, and we're so excited to bring our first duo residency to my hometown, Portland, OR, in April 2019.
We'll be playing a program of Auerbach, Moravec, Mozart, and Schubert, presented by Music in the Woods at Mary's Woods, with interactive performances drawn from that same program at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility and Maybelle Center for Community. We also loved talking with Christa Wessel at All Classical Portland radio station for a live performance and interview. More information at andersonsasakiduo.com

It’s been a busy fall! My colleague Alex Fortes and I founded VOTESart this summer, a non-partisan organization that uses music to promote voter registration. We traveled across the country in September and October, working with local musicians to engage their communities and promote voter registration. More information about the work we did this fall (and, coming soon, our plans for the future!) at VOTESart.org, and on our facebook page |

Last year, I flew back to Toronto to record one of my favorite pieces, Ysaye's Solo Sonata in E Minor, no 4. Huge thanks to Barry Shiffman and the Rebanks Family Fellowship at the Glenn Gould School for giving me the opportunity to record in stunning Koerner Hall. The video was just released a few days ago in Oct - hope you enjoy! |

Ensemble Connect partnered with Brooklyn Duo on this fun arrangement of a-ha (Take On Me) for a rather eclectic group of instruments. We had a great time playing with Marnie and Patrick from Brooklyn Duo, hope you enjoy listening to it! |

Thank you to Mary's Woods in Lake Oswego, OR for presenting my recital with Anna Petrova this winter! It's so meaningful to play for such a knowledgeable and open audience, we can't wait to come back.
